How to Replace a Battery

The method to replace a KEYCO Mini battery is as follows:

1. Push down on the bottom part of the product to detach a battery pack.
2. Replace a new battery in accordance with the electrodes, and insert the battery pack back into the product.

How to log into Keyco Finder app

You must log in to register the Keyco Mini on the app and use it. To link a login account, you can select either Kakao, Google, and Facebook accounts.

1. Run the “Keyco Finder” app on your smartphone.
2. Tap Next button on the main screen.
3. After reading the terms, please check I agree to all.
4. After selecting an account type for log in, please log in.

Notice
• To log out, tap Menu > Log out.
• You can create a new account by choosing Create an Account.

Step1

Select the KEYCO Minion the screen where you select the type of Keyco Finder after logging in.

Notice
• For a smartphone where the Bluetooth function is not activated, a request for permission to activate Bluetooth will appear. Select Yes in the popup window to proceed to the connection step.


• For a smartphone where the location-based service is not activated, a request for permission to access the location-based service pops up. Select Allow in the popup window to proceed to the connection step.

Step2

Press the Multi-Purpose button on the Keyco Mini, then tap Next on the smartphone screen.

Step3

When the screen showing that the connection is completed appears, select Next.

Step4

Set a representative icon and nickname to indicate the connected Keyco Mini, then tap Next. Enter a nickname and tap Next.

Notice
• The icon and the nickname can be changed in the Settings menu even after registration is completed.
• If your smartphone has not granted access to the camera functions, a pop-up window requesting photos and media permission appears. Select Allow in the pop-up window to proceed to the connection step.

Step5

Check if the phrase ‘Connected. Ready to Use.' is displayed on the main screen.

Notice
• A Keyco Mini may not be newly registered if it has been registered by other accounts. If other users try to register the card, the existing user receives an alarm on their smartphone. If the existing user cancels the registration of the Keyco Mini, other users can register the Keyco Mini.

Guide to finding a lost smartphone

The current location of the smartphone connected with the Keyco Mini or the last location where the connection to the smartphone was lost can be seen in the Keyco Finder app. When you have lost an object to which the Keyco Mini is attached, you can check the location where the Keyco Mini was lost in the app.

Instructions

Check the location-indicating icon on the main screen of the Keyco Finder app. The location of the Keyco Mini is displayed on the map.

Finding a Smartphone

The location of the connected smartphone can be found by the sounding the alarm using the Keyco Mini. If you forget where you put your smartphone, you can find it by sounding an alarm using the Keyco Mini.

Instructions

1. Tap the Multi-Purpose button on the Keyco Mini.
2. An alarm sounds from the connected smartphone.

• This function only operates when the smartphone and the Keyco Mini are connected.

Into Range Alarm

The smartphone automatically sounds an alarm when the smartphone and Keyco Mini are within a certain distance.

Instructions

1. Tap the button on the main screen. The App Settings screen will appear.
2. Turn on the Into Range Alarm setting option. The smartphone will automatically sound an alarm when the smartphone and Keyco card are within a certain distance of each other.

Notice
• You can select whether to receive message/vibration/sound when a proximity alarm is sounded.

Finding My Item

If attaching the Keyco Mini to people, pets, or other items, the location of the KEYCO Mini can be found by sound if it is nearby.

Instructions

Tap the button on the main screen of the Keyco Finder app. The KEYCO Mini automatically sounds an alarm.

Out of Range Alarm

The smartphone will automatically sound an alarm when the smartphone and Keyco Mini are separated by than a certain distance (approximately 60m).

Instructions

1. Tap the button on the main screen. The App Settings screen will appear.
2. Turn on the Out of Range Alarm setting option. The smartphone will automatically sound an alarm when the distance to the smartphone becomes more than a certain distance and the connection to the smartphone is lost.

Notice
• The range in which the out of range alarm operates may vary according to the user environment.
• You can select whether to receive message/vibration/sound when loss prevention is alarmed.

Notification of the Location of a Lost Smartphone

If a user loses the Keyco Mini, the current location of the Keyco Mini can be confirmed through other users who use the Keyco Finder app.

How to Set

1. Tap the button on the main screen. The App Settings screen will appear.
2. Turn on the function to find the location of Keyco’s setting options. If there are other Keyco Finder app users around the lost Keyco, its location can be confirmed.

Notice
• The Keyco Finder’s push notification settings must be active in a user’s smartphone.
• If moving from a place where the Keyco Mini was lost, a location notification is displayed.

Step 1 - Checking the push notification

When the user has lost the Keyco Mini, the user can receive a push notification of the location information through another user who uses the Keyco Finder App.

Notice
• The Keyco Finder’s push notification settings must be active in a user’s smartphone.

Step2 - Viewing the location information where it is found.

When you select the push notification, you can check the current location of the Keyco Mini detected by another user from the Keyco Finder App. When you tap the Successful Discovery button on the map screen, the Keyco’s location notification will be terminated.

Step3 - Viewing the discovery history

When the connection with the Keyco Mini is terminated, you can check the Keyco’s location notification history. Check the history by tapping on the map screen of the Keyco Mini after connection is terminated. However, when the Keyco connection is restored, the whole of previous history will be deleted.

KEYCO’s Out of Range Alarm

The Keyco will automatically sound an alarm when the smartphone and Keyco Mini are separated by more than a certain distance (approximately 60 meters).

How to Set

1. Tap the button on the main screen. The App Settings screen will appear.
2. Turn on the Keyco’s Out of Range Alarm setting option.

• If setting the Out of Range Alarm in the smartphone and the KEYCO Mini, the two devices simultaneously sound an alarm.
• The range in which the out of range alarm operates may vary according to the user environment.
• You can select whether to receive a message/vibration/sound when the out of range alarm sounds.

How to Share a Location with Other Users

The Keyco Mini that is registered to my smartphone can be shared with other users.

How to Share

1. Tap the button on the main screen. Go to the Share Settings screen.
2. The Keyco Mini can be shared by selecting the Share by Link or the Share by Email.

Notice
• If sharing by link, a random URL is generated. The URL address is shared only with users who you approve.
• If a shared user has been registered with the Keyco Finder app, they can also confirm the location of the shared Keyco Mini.
• If disconnecting, tap on the Keyco share screen.

How to Set a Wi-Fi Safe Zone

If you are in a relatively risk-free location, you can designate a Wi-Fi Safe Zone in order to not sound a loss prevention alarm.

How to Set

1. Connect your smartphone to the Wi-Fi that you would like to be designated as a safe zone.
2. Tap the Menu button () on the app’s main screen.
3. After tapping Wi-Fi Safe Zone, and then confirming the name of the connected Wi-Fi, tap . The selected Wi-Fi name is displayed on the Safe Zone list.

Notice
• If the smartphone is connected to Wi-Fi that has been designated as a safe zone, the Keyco Finder app does not sound its notification.
• If deleting Wi-Fi Safe Zones, tap on the Safe Zone list.

How to Set Silent Mode

If setting Silent Mode, all sound notifications that normally come from the Keyco Finder app do not ring.

How to Set

1. Tap the Menu button () on the app’s main screen.
2. Turn on the Silent Mode setting option.

Notice
• When Silent Mode is set, pop-up notifications are not even displayed on the screen.

Camera Button

The Keyco Mini can be used as a remote control. When using the camera function in the Keyco Finder app, you can press the Keyco Mini button to take a picture on your smartphone.

Instructions

1. Tap the button on the main screen. The camera application will be turned on.
2. Press the Keyco Mini button to take a picture.

Notice
• If your smartphone has not granted access to the camera functions, a pop-up window requesting photos and media permission appears. Select Allow in the pop-up window to proceed to the connection step.
• Press the icon at the top of the camera to set a screen ratio and flash.

How to Update Firmware

If a new firmware version is registered with the server, the product’s firmware can be updated. When firmware can be updated, Update is displayed on the firmware version.

1. Tap the button on the main screen. The App Settings screen will appear.
2. Confirm whether to display updates for the Firmware Version item on the setting list.
3. Tap Update when there is a new firmware available.
